President William Ruto’s daughter Charlene Ruto recently discussed the challenges she faces with online criticism, particularly regarding her appearance.The first daughter emphasizes her comfort with her natural traits and actively encourages her stylist not to hide them. Charlene acknowledges being targeted online for various aspects, including her appearance, fashion choices, and hairstyle. This experience has motivated her to actively address the issue of cyberbullying. She further highlights that online negativity has fueled her determination to tackle cyberbullying as one of her key areas of focus.
“Yes, I have a big forehead and I like it. I don’t hide it since God blessed me with it,”she said
“It came with a lot of online scrutiny and pressure about my dressing, how I do my makeup about my hair. I was cyber bullied and that is how I decided that it is one of the 30 things that I want to focus on.”
Charlene further speaks fondly of her father, emphasizing his encouragement and guidance during her childhood. She commends his approach of allowing her the freedom to pursue her own interests, which led her towards a career in communications.
“My father is a great man. When we were growing up, he gave us the leeway to be who we wanted to become.
