Award-winning vocalist, songwriter, guitarist, recording producer, and actor Bruce Melodies, who is from Rwanda, has shared his story behind his body tattoos.

Speaking in an interview session we had with him with our own journalist Silvakido on the show ‘Behind the Tattoo’, he opened up, saying he has tattoos of his pretty young daughters on his left arm (first born Britah and last born Arya), which he said he adores the most.

“As a man, I am proud of my kids, and not only that, I am also grateful for them, for they are my only true family, as they are my flesh and blood, hence the reason I thought to put up their faces on my body.” Bruce shared.

He goes on narrating that his wife was suffering from cancer and was undergoing treatment in India, and it was at that moment after visiting her that it hit him that his wife and kids come first, and he opted that he was going to do something to his body so that he can never forget his family and show the love he has for them despite what befell them.

Bruce has tattoos of his children, and the name Pride is on his left arm, which he says means he is proud of his family, and nothing will ever make him forget or change his mind about it.

He has also written ‘My story isn’t over yet’ on his left arm, an addition to what he has, and he promises that despite what life throws at him, he is still resilient and remains unshaken.

Bruce Melody says he doesn’t feel anything greater than having tattoos of his family on his arm, as it means a lot to him as a person.

Bruce has an additional tattoo on his right arm that reads ’27/12/2009′ Which he explained that it is the day his girlfriend, whose the wife at the moment said yes to his proposal, adding that it was a time when he had nothing as he was still trying to find his way up but his girlfriend despite having come from a rich background still took him in.

Bruce Melodie a known artist from Rwanda that has even collaborated with Kenyan artists amongst them being Kenyan artist Kevin Bahati with song ‘Diana’
