Kenyan artist and mother of one, Nadia Mukami, has offered a piece of advice to upcoming artists.
Speaking through her social media page, she advised the upcoming young artists to always have a business mind and approach the industry with intelligence so that they don’t flop and regret it later on.
“Dear new artists, approach the industry with an intelligent brain; one hit isikuvumbishe kichwa.”
She went on to tell them that having hits doesn’t justify being rich, as they can have trending music but still be broke. Urging them not to choose fame above everything else.
“Approach the industry with a business mind! Fame should be the last thing on your mind, but conversions from the projects to money!”
She gave an example of local artists who are doing well because they have teamwork and are hardworking, disclosing the reason why famous artists are broke and blaming it on their high level of pride.
The Mother of one lastly told the young artists to believe in the small steps and not listen to the public claims, as that will only make them lag behind.
