Kenyan Video Vixen Brenda Otieno famously known for featuring Bahati’s music video (Adhiambo) has revealed that she wants to be paid what she wasn’t given.
Speaking during an interview with Nicholas Kioko, she said that she has been forgotten after having worked for them.
“These people used me…. Up to date, these people have never spoken to me …they have never paid me.”
She said that because they have taken too long and ignored her earlier claims, she raised stakes to wanting 20% of what the music video has made or else they take it down from YouTube. Something she roughly said should go for a price of 4 million.
“I demand for 20% of what that video has brought in has an income… Or else I demand for my video to be removed, I don’t want any association with that video if I am not going to be paid.”
She even threatens to take the issue to the Cabinet Secretary of arts so that she can get justice.
Asked if she tried reaching out to Bahati’s manager so that they can discuss the matter in private, she responded saying she had gone for it and was told to keep it quiet because Bahati was busy concentrated in politics.
Brenda says that she has been ignored for quite a long time and has promised she won’t relent until justice prevails. She even said that she will march to the streets with her team If Bahati does nothing.
The video that she is talking about was released 1 year ago and has over 20 million views, Brenda above is wearing a red dress in the video and here it is below:
