Kenyan Media Personality Willis Raburu has shared his weight loss transformation journey.
Speaking through his social media page, he said that despite the sentiments that were sending him back from doing the gastric balloon surgery and all that, he still kept going and is now gladly happy that the hard work determination and dedication he used to put on the Gym has helped him.
“I remember when I thought about doing the gastric bypass surgery. It was intense, but I was suffering. My confidence was low, my pressure was high, I had tried gym but kept bouncing back, and honestly the cost will make you think twice, but I learned that it’s an investment in myself.”
The 10/10 host went on encouraging the public that it’s always good to be confident and believe in yourself, as that is the only way things will work out.
“However, we must be bold, especially when it’s a life-saving procedure.”
He also called out to Insurance companies to consider helping out those interested in having the surgery. Concluding with clarifying that he did Gastric surgery and didn’t rely on or use other ways that are being advertised online that can work even without undergoing surgery.
“I wish insurance companies change their policy and help pay for this. Many should come out and help people get this surgery done. It’s life changing! Statistics show that children now are getting more and more obese. Folks, let’s keep talking and learning. I’m available.
Also, please, I did the GASTRIC BYPASS SURGERY. Don’t be fooled by some ads about black latte tea or some powder!”
The father of one shared the pictures online showing the transformation journey ever since he underwent gastric surgery balloon having lost 40 kgs. He initially had 164 and now weighs 124 kgs, and he says he is making progress.
