Transport CS Kipchumba Murkomen has flabbergasted netizens after revealing the exorbitant amount of money that he spends on his attire.
In a recent interview with Obinna, Murkomen divulged that he owns a Ksh.900,000 watch while the most expensive shoe is Ksh.80,000. Further, he also owns a Ksh.50,000 belt and a Ksh.20,000 tie. In total, his attire amounted to an average of Ksh.1.1 million.
”Most expensive shoe might be 70 to 80,000. Belt, 40 to 50,000. But I don’t need to wear two belts in two years. One belt is enough. The watch which I bought with my own money was almost like 900,000,” he stated.

Lifestyle audit?
Murkomen’s deluxe lifestyle has been an interest to the public because of his opulence. But he claims that he’s ready to account for every cent of his money.
“I’m ready to account for every second that I go to my office at 6am and leave at 10pm. I’m ready to give an account of what the government has done in the last two years in my ministry and it should be the tradition,” he added.
Murkomen also roots for lifesyle audit of leaders. CS Murkomen added that it is important for leaders to talk and follow with action.
“Why don’t we pass a law in Kenya for lifestyle audits? So that every year after office, we can do a lifestyle audit of every person who is holding public office so that people can’t just look at CS Murkomen alone to see how much I have dressed,” he added.
The opulence of members of parliament has also been a question posed to President Ruto; who also supports the audit.
