Kasmuel recounted the incidents, describing how powerless and afraid he felt during the time of the harassment.

“They were like these older guys; some of them were in class seven, some of them in high school, and it was a time when some of them were trying to experience something like sijui or whatever.

They shika me, and you know, when you were younger, they were like guys who could bully you, they could chase you, and that day I couldn’t run; they were like Wewe Kuja Hapa, Toa Nguo, and it is one of the most dignified things I have ever gone through. I have never even unpacked it this far in therapy. They forced me onto another child, and then they forced themselves on me, so it was like both ways.” Kasmuel shared.

Kasmuel’s bravery in sharing their story serves as a powerful reminder of the pervasive issue of sexual harassment and the importance of creating a society where everyone can feel safe and respected.
