Comedian and businessman Eddie Butita is under pressure to get married. The jester, who has been on the limelight for several years; and his progressive success has been conspicuous.
Considering his close friends’ family life, including Abel Mutua and Njugush, fans have often shared their disenchantment with Butita’s decision of being celibate.

In a recent interview, Eddie Butita couldn’t eschew response to the question on ‘when are you getting married?’
Butita shared that he was not feeling pressured to enter a new relationship and was taking the time to assess those who expressed interest in him to determine whether they meet his demands.
“I have been single, I however, have lots of requests and interests but we are taking time to see whether they meet my demands because we are looking at a lot of things,“ Butita said in an interview with Obinna.
Addressing the speculations surrounding his relationship with Sadia, Butita made it clear that they were nothing more than friends, but their love for each other will suffice.
Butita’s take on marriage & dating
In the same interview, Butita shared his sentiments on marriage. According to him, 2 days are enough for someone to decipher whether they’re getting married to the person they just met.
I don’t believe in people dating for long. Nimeanza ku realize hio kitu. Sisi hu fight tu na feelings. Kumbe unajuanga mtu utaoa na the first two days. Hio ingine ni kipindi. Dating is a trial to confirm if the first two days, you were right,” Butita explained
He further admitted that he missed a dating phase; where he would mingle with women.
Butita to be featured on ‘my woman’
Oga Obinna admonished the jester to feature in his show dubbed ‘my woman’ where he would find a wife for himself.
The show is currently featuring Mumias East MP Peter Salasya. The goal is to find a wife for Salasya, who, according to Obinna, “has money but no partner.
While responding to Obinna on the latter, Butita promised to feature in the show if he wouldn’t find a partner in 13 weeks.
Butita also calibrated that he would be the one to choose the type of women he wants to be featured in the show alongside him.
As they say, he who finds a wife, finds a good thing. But for now, the SPM Buzz CEO remains celibate.
