The incident took place on Thursday in Olenteken area, Isampin location, Transmara West Sub-County. According to a report filed at Enoosaen Police Station, the brothers identified as 28-year-old Michael Saini and 25-year-old Steve Saini allegedly ingested a mixture of Roundup herbicide and Oshothion insecticide.
The confrontation is said to have started when their father, Joseph Saini, accused them of stealing and selling a cow. Overwhelmed by the heated exchange, the siblings reportedly resorted to drinking the toxic substances in what police described as a suicide attempt.
Authorities confirmed the matter is under investigation, with officers working to establish the full circumstances surrounding the family conflict.
