Police in Bungoma have arrested seven suspects and recovered a large consignment of stolen household goods and electronics in a swift weekend operation. The suspects are set to be arraigned at Bungoma Law Courts on 22 September 2025.

How the Arrests Happened
On 20 September 2025, officers from Bungoma Police Station were on routine patrol when they intercepted individuals carrying property suspected to be stolen.
Following interrogation, the suspects led police to a house in Galana area, where more items were discovered and additional suspects were arrested.

Police documented a wide range of items including:
- Several television sets
- Laptops and computer accessories
- Speakers and solar equipment
- Utensils and assorted household goods
Two motorcycles, believed to have been used to ferry the stolen property, were also impounded as evidence.
All seven suspects remain in custody at Bungoma Police Station and will appear in court on 22 September 2025. Police say the items are being catalogued and victims of theft will be contacted to help identify their property.
Police Statement
The National Police Service commended the officers involved for their quick response, adding that operations to dismantle criminal networks in Bungoma and across the country are ongoing and will be intensified.
