Sauti Sol took it to their social media and listed out a number of things that the (MCSK) should be doing that they ain’t fulfilling and threatened that they will be leaving the membership because it lacks credibility and accountability.

“We are going to withdraw our membership from the society as it does not serve our best interests entirely.”

Sauti Sol said that the royalties that the organisation holds belong to the artists and have urged the artists to go and claim what’s theirs.

“The royalties collected are not their direct income but the yours. They are working for you.”

They also said that the organization is supposed to distribute 70% of the royalties and provide credible statements of account to that effect.”

They also questioned the company inquiring whether the team has a certified license in executing what they are doing.

“They can not operate without a license so the question is, do they have a license from KECOBO or not….”

They have urged the other parties who wish to do the same to consider following the same route as this is their time to stand up for themselves and what they feel is right.
