The event, held at the Office of the Prime Cabinet Secretary, celebrated the teachers’ achievements and their upcoming roles in enhancing Kenyan education’s global standing.

In his speech, Mudavadi urged the teachers to uphold Kenyan values and aspirations as they embark on their international journey. He added, “Your success abroad will not only benefit you personally but will also elevate the standing of Kenyan education worldwide,” emphasising their role as ambassadors of Kenyan culture and expertise.

Mudavadi reassured the teachers and other Kenyans abroad of the government’s commitment to protecting their rights and welfare. He highlighted the importance of maintaining discipline, focus, and hard work, noting that Kenyans abroad have built a strong global reputation for their reliability and competence.

The Prime CS also stressed the necessity of respecting local laws in the US. “Upon arriving, you will be under a new jurisdiction. It is essential to understand and adhere to the laws and norms of your host country,” he cautioned.

Mudavadi expressed pride in the teachers and confidence in their contributions to educational advancement and cultural exchange. And said that the government is particularly proud of each one of them and confident in the significant impact they will make.
