PRESIDENT RUTO HAS BEEN URGED TO BUILD A MONUMENT TO HONOR KASAVULI’S LEGACY.

Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna has emphasized on the need of honoring prominent leaders who have served the country with integrity and loyalty.

The Nairobi Senator has reached out to President William Ruto to honor the late Journalist Catherine Kasavuli by constructing a national Monument for all Kenyans to remember her.

In a statement, Sifuna said that it’s good that heroes are remembered,

“These Individuals should be honored, and I am glad that the Cabinet Secretary for sports is also the Cabinet Secretary for culture. We should find ways to celebrate these heroes in life as well as in death.”

Sifuna also defended journalists and acknowledged the hard work that they are putting out there.

He also said that Catherine was a hardworking person who many looked up to her and even emulated her work.

The Royal Media Services Boss Linus Kaikai was also among the people paying tribute, to the late Catherine, saying how good she was and passionate with her work.

“She was a kind person, and we celebrate her today and the role she played in the media industry.”

Catherine Kasavuli has been laid to rest today at her home in Zululu Village after battling with cancer.
