The Arrest and Recovery
A police operation in Kiminini, Trans Nzoia County, has led to the arrest of a man suspected of involvement in a string of violent robberies and gang rape cases reported across the area.

The coordinated ambush, carried out by officers from the National Police Service (NPS), followed days of intelligence gathering and surveillance targeting a criminal network believed to be operating within the region.
Police said they traced the suspects to a storage facility used as a hideout and recovered motorcycles, electronics, and assorted motorbike parts, which have since been identified by victims as stolen property.
Ongoing Manhunt
The arrested suspect is set to be arraigned in court to face charges of robbery with violence and gang rape. Police have launched a manhunt for his accomplices, who are still at large, as investigations continue.
“We are pursuing strong leads and remain determined to bring all perpetrators of these heinous acts to justice,” a senior Trans Nzoia police officer said.
Police Commitment to Justice
In a statement, the National Police Service reaffirmed its ongoing efforts to combat violent crime and protect residents from criminal gangs.
“The NPS remains committed to ensuring justice for victims of violent and sexual offences through proactive, intelligence-driven operations,” the statement read.
Police have urged residents to report any suspicious activity that could help trace the remaining suspects.
