Nyaboke Moraa’s issues with her late teenage daughter do not make her a bad mother

Published on

Actress Nyaboke Moraa has been facing backlash following leaked private messages between her daughter and her friends.

As seen on some of the screenshots circulating on social media turns out Nyaboke Moraa and her late daughter Marrie did not have ‘a good’ relationship but this not new to mothers who have come before her.

For from different generations will tell you of their struggle with their teenagers and if you remember well…you too may have had issues with your mother while in your teenage hood but this did not particularly mean your mother was a bad human or had failed parenting.

However looking at the angle most people appear to have taken is that of painting Nyaboke Moraa as an irresponsible mother who picked on her teenage daughter to a point she couldn’t handle no more.

Burial Details Announced for Marrie, Nyaboke Moraa’s Daughter

I mean, this angle sells better, right?

However when you remember that Nyaboke Moraa had her baby Marrie at a young age, carried the pregnancy to full term, gave birth, dedicated her time to raising her child, protecting her from toddler accidents i.e burns, toxic relatives among other things is proof that she did what could as a mother.

Yes, we all have different relationships with our parents and it doesn’t mean we have it easy either. Sometimes their actions or words towards us appear calculated or may make one feel hated but again – there is no sane mom who can despise a child she carried in her own womb only to hate them later. Impossible.

Nyaboke Moraa may have her shortcomings as a mother, sister or friend but she does not deserve the blame she has been receiving from social media and her late daughter’s friends.
