Kenyan artist Nadia Mukami has shared the reason why she decided to come up with the name of the newly launched foundation, Lola and Safari’.

Nadia Mukami, who shared the inspiration that led to the conception of the idea, was alongside her husband, Arrow Bwoy, She was hesitant to talk about it at first, but regardless, she said that they opted to come up with the name ‘Safari and Lola‘ for their new foundation because they lost a child and, in remembrance, they decided to come up with a foundation and name it the name they wanted to name their child.

Anyway, I had a miscarriage sometime back before I had Kai, so we were supposed to name the child Safari if it was to be a boy and Lola if it was to be a girl, and in honor of that, we created a foundation in honor of Lola and Safari,” Nadia Mukami shared.

She clarified that the foundation belongs to the two of them, thus herself and her husband, adding that her husband has been very supportive, and she acknowledges him for that.
