Just like most relationships, theirs had already started showing signs of crumbling down following a statement Mungai Eve once made during an interview about marrying Trevor.
From the interview Mungai Eve had been complaining about Trevor not showing signs of paying dowry – saying;

However the statement remains ambiguous in that it may have meant that she was the one with the money or maybe – meant Trevor was taking too long not to propose….who knows?
