Kenyan Gospel artist Mr Seed has urged local stations to consider playing more of Kenyan music than revolving around the foreign ones.

Mr Seed said he was listening to a radio station in Killifi and was disappointed with the way they were selecting their tracks for almost the entire day saying they were totally playing foreign music and there wasn’t even one Kenyan track.

“Am listening to a certain radio station in Killifi these guys are just playing foreign songs they have not played any Kenyan music since jana n it’s a Kenyan Radio.”

Mr Seed has called out to all Radio stations in Kenya to consider supporting their own people thus artists as that’s the only way they will be international artist as well because they will have that motivation to keep working.

He went on adding that the artists that the Radio stations are airing their music don’t even know nor recognise them as that is a waste of time and they should consider doing better.

“You people should support your own musicians man… watu mnashinda mumewacheza hata hawawatambui.”

He also reminded them that the Kenyan artists are working tirelessly to ensure that the music industry is up and running and they deserve to be supported in order to keep the consistency.

“Kenyan Musicians are really putting in work you can’t say hatuna good music that you can play…”

This is another artist standing out and defending the artists after Eric Omondi had protested outside parliament back then demanding that 75% should be Kenyan music that should be played locally.
