An Indian man cultivating rice on his head has finally revealed why he does so.
In a video clip circulating online, the Indian man, whose identity’s name was hidden for security purposes, said that he chose to plant rice on his head and has connected to it in the sense of realizing when the rice needs water on his head, hinting that his head is a symbol of vitality and encouraging many to try it.
He offered himself to take part in the interview because he wanted to inspire others and show them that the act is possible and can be done on one’s head.
He said that his rice is not for sale and often turns people down each time they come wanting some, as he terms it as being disrespectful.
At harvest time, he collects the rice, makes a bountiful, delicious meal, and replants the rice on his head, waiting until it’s ready. He said he has developed a different sleeping habit while sitting, an act he said isn’t easy but helps keep the rice growing and fresh.
