Everybody hates mosquitoes especially the sound they make when they are flying around and at that time you are enjoying your sleep…. It’s just disturbing to the ears. Even though we hate them a times we are the same people that welcome them in without knowing it in the first place.

Below are some of the common mistakes that we make too and solutions on how you’d contain them from being around you.

Plants
If you have a vase in your home or potted flowers and plants attract mosquitoes they do so because these insects are attracted by moisture and water and plants happen to have exactly that.

Stagnant Or Still water
This is a common practice by almost everyone, not because you don’t want to drain it or something like that, not because you feel too lazy to and keep playing procrastination games.
Buckets and Basins with residual water almost lay a perfect basis for the mosquitoes to breed in, especially the contaminated one that doesn’t scale out the clean one. If you can drain them then consider closing them, just cover it.

Open Windows

Be cautious about this, I know, You’ll be like, it’s too hot at night I ain’t got a fan and I want some fresh air…am just gonna slide this window open…. Do it at your own risk, Mosquitoes are basically more at night and in the evening because they feel safe in some way that’s when they creep around and opening windows will be making their work easier as you will be their victim. Keep your windows shut!!

Clean Your House Regularly
House cleaning basically entails removing all the dirt and dust that has accumulated as well as ensure that there ain’t any stagnant water somewhere as that spot will be a good residing place for mosquitoes.

Contain Your Sweat
At all times ensure that you are cool and dry avoid being so sweaty all over even if you like hitting the Gym after every 10 minutes, surely there’s a way you will do to ensure water is not dripping off you like a rained Goat.

Use Pest Control

Consider buying sprays and make it a habit of doing so at least weekly if not monthly depending on how they have invaded your place, having that consistency in something will make them all repel.
