Marya Okoth Breaks In Tears While Talking About Her Role in Nurse Toto

Kenyan actress and brand influencer Marya Okoth, famously known as ‘Maryanne’ in the Nurse Toto series, has opened up about the role she was playing in the Nurse Toto series.

Marya, who acts as a receptionist in the Nurse Toto series, acknowledged the creator of the series, Eddie Butita, giving him his flowers and scaling him out as an individual with exceptional talent and skill. On the same note, she thanked him for making her brand grow and build her profile as well.

She did also thank her husband, YY Comedian, whom she prefers calling ‘Oliver’, saying she wouldn’t be where she is were it not for the great support she has from her husband, YY, who has walked with her every step of the way and always pushed her, reminding her she was destined for greatness even when times got hard.

“Oliver has played a very big role in my life. Amenichanua from season one, butita helped me be great too. Together with my husband, Oliver, you are so sentimental in my life. Butita Asanti Sana Pia, I am so grateful.

My husband YY, I am very sure he did also plant seed in fertile land, and as much as people keep reminding me that I am the price, my husband ‘Oliver’ does also deserve the credit for helping me become who I am today.” Marya opened up.

She also shared an insight as an actress, saying that in anything that involves acting, whichever role you’ve decided to take, you need to do a lot of research so that you can stand out and be recognized by many.

She believes that as an actress or actor, you are supposed to be criticized, as that means you are doing well.

Marya shared what season one of Nurse Toto taught her, especially in the role she was playing, She has now, thanks to Nurse Toto, gotten more business opportunities as well as mastered her chemistry with the rest of the cast.

“One thing I learned in season one when watching myself was that I wanted to get better and connect with the cast better. Also, in season one, I wasn’t and brand; I was just YY Comedian’s Wife; I was not my Okoth.

Saa hizi najua kupiga job as an actress; there’s discipline involved, and I also keep time compared to the first season.” Marya explained.
