Wanjiku Mburu famously known as ‘Mama Baha’ has broken the silence and said that they don’t receive incentives after the Royal Media started airing Machachari over again.
Incentives in the sense that they don’t receive anything small that can motivate them or encourage them for the good work that they did.
Speaking to the press, she said that the Royal Media service has not been tipping them is because back then, when they were looking at the paper contracts, they didn’t sign the royalties side that entails paying a certain amount of money to a product owner.
“For whatever reason, kuna ile kitu unasign inaitwa Contract..Kipindi si yetu kipindi ni yao and for that time hatukusign contract ina incluid royalities.
So there’s nothing much we can do… They can do whatever they want to do with it.”
Adding that it’s because that it’s an unfortunate time that made them be passed off, and there isn’t really anyone to blame for it.
She also called upon the Government to help the artists understand their product and understand them. Help them in micromanaging.
Emphasizing that they should emulate the same thing that is done by Hollywood managers
