During the 2024 anti-Finance Bill protests, there was a couple that met on the streets and decided that they would start a family together. A win is a win’ as they say, and as much as the President never stepped down, this gentleman may have won as he got himself a woman that he now calls a wife.
At first, we were so unsure about the whole thing, thinking that it was clout-chasing. They have truly proved the public wrong by holding a grand wedding in the Nairobi CBD just as they had promised.
In a video shared online, the two exchanged vows and put rings in each other’s fingers, declaring their undying love for each other publicly at Nairobi Kenya Archives where many turned up to witness and celebrate their union.
How the two met
A while back during an interview with Nicholas Kioko, Tony, said that he met Gloria during the protests and thought of proposing because he knew he was the one.

Gloria on the other hand confirmed that Tony’s exceptional character is what drew her to him.
“He is very funny, treats me well, respects me, and is very disciplined. He would just create stories out of nowhere and make me laugh, me hupenda kucheka. Since it was very interesting that I laughed that day, and since I was having a tough day, I was like, Twende tukunywe chai.” Kendi said.
