Liverpool kept their Premier League title hopes alive with a thrilling 4-2 victory over Tottenham Hotspur at Anfield.

Mohamed Salah opened the scoring in the 16th minute with a well-placed header, before Andy Robertson doubled the lead right before halftime, tapping in a rebound from a Salah shot.

The second half saw Liverpool extend their lead further. Cody Gakpo netted early after a steal by Harvey Elliott, who then added a screamer of his own from distance in the 60th minute.

Tottenham threatened a comeback with goals from Richarlison and Son Heung-min in the final 20 minutes, but ultimately left themselves with too much to do. Liverpool held on for a crucial three points, keeping the pressure on Arsenal and Manchester City in the title race.

Despite early pressure from Spurs, Liverpool created the clearer chances throughout the match. Salah came close on several occasions before finally finding the net with a header. The first half also saw a penalty appeal from Gakpo waved away.

Robertson capitalized on a rebound from a Salah shot to give Liverpool a comfortable lead going into the break.

The second half continued in similar fashion, with Liverpool adding to their advantage through Gakpo and a stunning long-range strike by Elliott.

While Richarlison and Son pulled two goals back for Tottenham, Liverpool nearly extended their lead further through Salah and Alexander-Arnold. Alisson Becker made a crucial save late in the game to secure the victory for the Reds.
