Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna has sent a message to Langa’ta MP Phelix Odiwour, commonly known as ‘Jalang’o’.

Speaking on a radio interview at Radio 47, he said that Jalas will not win the 2027 elections for the parliamentary seat of Langa’ta and shouldn’t be deceived otherwise.

According to Sifuna, Jalang’o has been misled by the young people into thinking that he will win the parliamentary seat for the second time, which is not what will happen, saying that he is speaking out of experience.

“Mtu kama Jalang’o tumetembea na yeye hii Nairobi tukitafuta Kura… nimemwambia Jalang’o tafadhali wacha kuchochwa na watu hata kama utasurvive na court order mpaka 2027, Lang’ata hupati tena!”

Edwin Sifuna, who is in the Azimio Coalition party, said that he told Jalas it was his last term, adding that even if Jalas opted to go to court, he would not stand to win elections even if he survived at the seat until the year 2027.

Jalango, who was recently dismissed from the ODM party, is now partyless, and he is yet to decide his next move. Jalas shared a statement on his social media page in response to what happened with a bible verse saying that there’s no challenge that is hard, and challenges are part of life; they are created, and so are solutions.

Since he was spotted meeting with the President at the Statehouse without his party being aware of it, Jalang’o has been in the public eye constantly. The incident generated a great deal of controversy online, prompting the MP to respond. He said he was there to discuss how he can help Lang’ata as an MP and that people should move on now that the country has been established. He also added that he would repeatedly do it as long as it meant serving and helping the people who elected him to power.
