Kindiki shares demands to be met ahead of protests

Published on

Interior CS Kithure Kindiki has shared what he expects to be done during the protests that have already started today, aimed at fighting the passing of the finance bill 2024.

Kindiki shared the demands via social media, where he addressed the protestors;

He started off by stating that the protestors should inform the police of their meeting time & venues in order for them to be given security.

“Protesters must inform the police of the routes they will take for purposes of providing escort and ensuring that there is law and order. They should notify the police of the timings of their activities. They must make sure that the enjoyment of these rights does not prejudice the rights and freedoms of others,” he said.

He further urged the protestors not to vandalize any property and make it as peaceful as possible.

“They must not interfere with road rail, sea or air transport in any manner whatsoever. Whatever the demands, the issues, grievances or whatever the matter, the rule of law and public order must be maintained by all persons,” he said.
