Former KTN presenter Jamal Gaddafi shared how he narrowly escaped death in Nairobi.
Speaking through his social media, the media personality shared an update, revealing how his car was swept away by raging floodwaters along First Parklands Road.

“Alhamdulillah. I narrowly escaped death this morning along First Parklands Road in Parklands when my car was swept away by floods.
“I am lucky that a group of well-wishers quickly came to rescue me. I urge Nairobi County Governor Johnson Sakaja to work on the drainage systems in Nairobi.” Jamal Shared.
According to Jamal, he was coming from the hospital at the time of the accident. Adding that the county government should work together to ensure that they unclog drainage systems.
“I was on my way from the hospital. I am deeply indebted to all the passersby who took very little time to save me after the accident.
Alhamdulillah. The Nairobi County Government should unclog the drainage system along Ojijo Road and other areas to avert the dangers of flooding.”
Flood Destruction
In the past week, the country has been experiencing heavy rains, leaving behind a trail of destruction across the city, with others being forced to stay in the dark for over a week. Additionally, several city residents have been evacuated as floodwaters continue to rise.
The devasting toll of the heavy rains and floods continue to rise, with at least 32 deaths, 15 people injured and two missing as of 18 April. At least 103,485 people have been affected, including 40,265 people displaced in 21 out of 47 counties in the country.
The public has urged the government to do something about it before the situation gets out of hand.
