Kenyan gospel artists Jabidii and Timeless Noel have shared the reasons why many gospel musicians decided to switch to doing secular music.

Speaking in an interview with the press, Jabidii said that the reason for this is that the majority of the artists couldn’t maintain the creativity that’s needed in composing the music.

“The only reason yenye utapata watu walitoka gospel is because hawaezi maintain creativity inahitajika.”

According to Jabidii, secular music looked like a better option for them because it doesn’t need as much creativity as gospel music does, hence making them feel okay with it.

He shared that it is in prayer that the ones that backed off get to learn creativity and come back to spread the gospel.

Jabidii said that at the moment they are trying to build what they can protect so that they are able to control it with ease.

Timeless Noel also sent a message to Kevin Bahati, urging him to consider returning to singing gospel because that’s where his fan base lies.

“Bahati ajue one thing, God alimpatia grace ya gospel atajaribu agonge gonge secular haitawork.”

He hinted that they are on a mission to see that the artist returns to singing gospel music and drops secular music.

Jabidii also added that the reason why the above-mentioned artists aren’t getting more gigs and performing at events is because they are singing secular music with gospel tunes. Advising them to return home.
