Kiambu Woman Rep Gathoni Wamucomba visited KNH Wednesday to see the alleged 165 hospitalized protestors that were injured during 27th Tuesday’s protests.
At the hospital, doctors explained the state of the injuries victims had and surprisingly turns out that the police went as far as shooting a female protestor leaving with a lifetime scar that she will forever remember.
Out of the 165 hospitalized, two – that is Nancy Disse, 28, and Victor Otianga, 21 underwent surgery and fortunately continue to get better as doctors have devoted their time on the two recovering from gunshot wounds.
Speaking on this, Wamucomba condemned the use of live bullets on unarmed protestors saying;
“So ata warembo walilimwa na hizo live bullets, Oh my God I feel like crying.”
Innocent kids
According to Wamucomba most of the protestors admitted at the hospital are young kids from the age of 23 to 24 years – youths that have just started learning how to operate as adults.
It’s so sickening, it’s so disheartening to listen to the stories that are in there -hospital- hawa wote tumeambiwa ni watoto wa 23- 24 years and, our children, our sons and daughters, and we can’t run away from this, we just have to give them hope, she said.
However Kenyans having raised upto 19million, many hope that these youths will receive good treatment as expected.
