Foods Queen Elizabeth used To Take That Made Her Remain Healthy

Published on

The late Queen Elizabeth II had a good list of meals that she used to take, which kept her fit and healthy.

Below is a list of meals she used to take that made her physically fit and healthy for so long:

This information has been shared by Dareen McGrady, who was the late Queen’s chef and served in Buckingham Palace for a period of 15 years.

The chef shared the list of foods that the queen adhered to, as well as those that he never used to take.

Anyone out there who wants to age as much as the Queen aged and look healthy, young, and fit the way she looked should consider including this in their list:

Garlic
When it came to garlic, onions, and peppers, it was a no-go zone in the Queen’s diet. The reason she didn’t like them was because of the bad breath that they gave out, and her being the Majesty who met prominent people, it wouldn’t be appropriate for her to walk around with that kind of breath, so to her, these were not accepted.

Pasta
The Queen never took anything that had starch on it, so pasta was forbidden from her diet. She would rather consider salads, grilled fish, or chicken with a lot of vegetables.

Potatoes
The Queen didn’t take starch or carbohydrates, and so the potatoes fell on the list of things to be done away with and avoided.

Medium-rare meat

According to her chef, McGrady, if there was going to be any beef that the queen was to be served, it had to be well cooked. And there was no room for medium-cooked meat to be served to her.

White-shell eggs
Queen Elizabeth II loved brown-shell eggs better than white ones. And every morning at breakfast, she could have them accompanied by salmon and truffle.

Bread Crusts
The Queen preferred tuna with mayo, some cucumber slices, butter, and a dash of pepper.
Bread crusts are basically the hardened exterior, or surface, part of the bread.

No sugared tea
As far as the Queen loved taking tea, she never used to entertain sugar in her cup of tea; she could tolerate a little bit of milk though.

A whole banana

This was taken, but she had her way of peeling it. The only difference, as told, is that she never used to take the whole banana.

Tap Water
Being the most powerful person, and of course in the Royal family she had to watch her six always, the Queen didn’t take tap water because of the obvious reasons “the enemies”. Neither could the Queen take mineral water from brands that she doesn’t recognize. That’s how alert she was.

Dark Chocolate
Queen Elizabeth II enjoyed dark chocolate more because it had minerals like iron, zinc, and magnesium.

Those are the meals that the Queen used to take and the ones she never used to, and for sure, she lived quite a long time. Surpassing the age of 90 isn’t easy; perhaps you can pick something out of it.
