Kenyan comedian Eric Omondi has for the first time failed to show up and take part in the demonstrations that he had promised to hold at the Kenya Parliament in Nairobi Metropolitan on Tuesday as from 9am.

Eric Omondi failed to show up today after promising people that he would hold protests against the high cost of fuel and the economy. Many have been surprised that the self-proclaimed President of Comedy failed to show up, while others are suggesting that it might have been basically because the government deployed heavy security at the Jee Vanjee Gardens awaiting Eric to make a move.

The Government indeed did deployed water cannons today together with other security forces so that they could contain Eric should he try to make a scene, but the question remains why did Eric not show up leave alone say something.

On Friday, Eric Omondi told the press that he will be holding a demonstration outside Parliament on Tuesday so that the government addresses the high cost of living and the rate at which the it is taxing everything, including even the ones that aren’t supposed to be taxed.

Eric Omondi has been protesting the high cost of living by carrying boards and marching down the streets, and urging the government to do something about it but in the long run nothing has been implemented to date.

He also did march to parliament the other day with body men, emphasizing that he would not leave until Kenyan grievances were met, which included lowering the high cost of living.

This act of fighting for Kenyans has always gotten him apprehended and sleep behind bars time after time, what served as a motivation to him is his young child and the public that keeps encouraging him. But today it was something different and we are yet to hear from him.
