Kenya Online Media’s Director, known online as Director Trevor, has ignited mixed reactions with his recent social media post.
On Wednesday, Trevor shared photos with Eve Nyaga, a new presenter for the platform Kenya Online Media (KOM) and hinted at a lavish birthday gift – a brand new car.
Trevor solicited suggestions from fans, asking them to recommend a suitable car make and model for Nyaga.
“It’s our KOM Queen’s birthday month,” he wrote. “Help us pick the perfect car brand to gift her!”

This extravagant promise has divided online opinion. Many netizens applauded Trevor’s generosity as an employer. However, some expressed skepticism, wondering about the true motives behind such a public display.
This announcement comes just two months after Trevor hired Nyaga to replace Mungai Eve, his former partner, on Kenya Online Media. Their unexpected breakup led to the creation of separate channels – Kenya Online Media and Eve Mungai Media.
Prior to the split, both Trevor and Mungai Eve had denied rumors of relationship troubles. However, Trevor later confirmed their official separation.
The car gift offer has sparked questions about the company’s finances and its appropriateness within an employer-employee relationship. Only time will tell if Trevor follows through with his extravagant promise.
