Director Trevor continues to raise concerns over Kenyan female influencers’ content

Published on

Director Trevor recently sparked a conversation about the content produced by many Kenyan female influencers. In an Instagram post, he expressed concern over the prevalence of suggestive content, arguing it might overshadow their potential for positive societal impact.

Trevor’s former partner, Mungai Eve, responded diplomatically, emphasizing personal happiness. She declined to comment on the specific issue, focusing instead on the importance of individual fulfillment.

“Unfortunately I did not see that, but what I would say is if what you are doing makes you happy, do whatever makes you happy life is too short.

Trevor justifies his statement

Amidst speculation about his target, Trevor clarified his statement in an interview, asserting it was not directed at any particular individual but reflected a broader industry trend. He drew a line between tasteful content, like beach photos, and excessive suggestiveness, which he criticized.

“Hiyo statement ilikuwa inamaanisha hivi… Most female content creators sasa hivi wanase*ualise content. If you are a creator, sometimes the content inasell. But sasa ni vibaya wewe kufanya hivo content yako yote,” Trevor explained.

Trevor’s comments have ignited a debate about the nature of online content and the role of influencers in shaping public discourse.
