The Ministry of Health has refreshed its top-level leadership following new appointments by Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale. The Kenya Gazette notice dated November 7, 2025, confirms several changes across two vital boards the Kenya Board of Mental Health and the Pharmacy and Poisons Board.

Kenya Board of Mental Health
The Kenya Board of Mental Health will now feature Dr Linett Ongeri, Mr Simon Githui, Dr Haran L. Hassan, and Dr Dennis Wamalwa as new members. In addition, Dr Beatrice M. Mainji has been reappointed, a move seen as crucial in maintaining institutional memory and continuity.
Pharmacy and Poisons Board
The Pharmacy and Poisons Board which oversees regulation and standards in the pharmaceutical sector also received new appointments. Dr Maurice K. Odhiambo, Dr Tadudi Aly Omar, and Ms Serah Mutu Kisilu will be joining the board. Two experienced members, Dr Isha Anand and Dr Bernard Kimutai Maiyo, have been reappointed to continue steering the board’s mandate.
