Christina Shusho explains why her mother married her off at age 19 Years

Christina Shusho has confessed to being involved with just one man since she was 19 years till her late 30’s when she divorced husband, John Shusho.

Speaking about her dating life from years ago, Christina Shusho revealed she got married as a teen due to her mum’s demands.

According to Shusho back then she had been the most beautiful woman any man had set his eyes on; and with this, her mum feared she would eventually get ‘used’ by young men and end up a single parent if not alone in the end.

“I got married at 19 years old, quite young. After completing my form four, my mother saw me, this beautiful girl at home. I was exceptionally beautiful, and my mother was afraid that I might be led astray and bring shame upon the family,” Christina Shusho opened up.

Reflecting back, the Zakayo hit maker went on to insist that unlike today – back then she was stunning beauty that caught people’s attention.

“Now, I’m a bit older, don’t tell me I’m beautiful; I was incredibly beautiful. So, when this man approached my mother expressing interest in me, she simply agreed out of fear. I was indeed very beautiful.” Shusho told the congregation as seen on YT video.

Divorce

Although she has been working as a minister of the word, Christina Shusho is not shy to admit she was forced to divorce her husband of years – something the church speaks against.

According to her – there was no option but to separate citing that both her and ex husband had different callings in life, hence hurried divorce.

“Let me speak from the bottom of my heart… I have never been fake, and I don’t lie. The truth is, it’s just an assignment. There is nothing different other than that. The assignment God has given me this season cannot allow me to stay where I was. I had to leave to fulfill the assignment,” Shusho opened up in church.
