Renowned Kenyan activist, Boniface Mwangi, has calmed fears after a mysterious social media post sparked widespread concern. Last week, Mwangi shared a cryptic message on his account before deactivating it entirely, leaving his followers worried about his well-being.

The troubling tweet hinted at a potential end, with Mwangi stating;

“Someone gets to a stage in life, and they decide this is it for them. They’re ready for the next world. The pain, troubles, and expectations of others in this world are too much. They exit the stage, celebrate their life. End of story.”

The post ignited a wave of concern among his friends and followers, with many taking to social media to express their worry and offer support. Prominent activist and influencer, Hanifa Adan, was among those who reached out to Mwangi, but to no avail.

However, fears were allayed when Adan recently shared photos of herself with Mwangi and his wife, both looking happy and relaxed. In the caption, she dismissed rumors of Mwangi being hurt, assuring fans that he is doing well and will return to the public eye soon. She wrote;

“Please ignore the picture going around showing that Boniface Mwangi was hurt. He’s doing well and will be back with us ASAP. We soldier on and on. No looking back. Wishing love and grace to each and everyone of you @husskhalid.”

Mwangi’s sudden disappearance and subsequent reappearance have highlighted the impact of social media and the concern it can generate among followers.
