The multi-grammy American music sensation, Anthony Hamilton is now in Kenya set to perform at the Stanbic ‘Yetu live’ to be held at the Carnivore grounds, July 30th, 2022.
“I am going to give you a great show. After a long time locked up due to the covid pandemic, we all deserve a celebration,” said Hamilton.
The soul storyteller will take over the stage alongside some of Kenya’s greatest artists among them, Otile Brown, and June Gachui and some of the top DJs like Dj Forest, Dj Stylez and Dj Pinye.
Anthony Cornelius Hamilton is an American singer, songwriter and record holder who rose to fame after his sophomore album, 2003’s titled “Comin from where I’m from.”Some of his best tracks include, ‘Best of me’, ‘Mama knew love’ and ‘Can’t let go.’
The festival was organized by Stanbic bank in partnership with Radio Africa Group during the covid 19 pandemic mainly to nurture and promote the industry in such trying times.
Speaking at the event’s launch, The Radio Africa events General manager, Somoina Kimojino expressed her gratitude for the partnership between them and Stanbic bank in uplifting artists.
“We are bringing Multi-Grammy award winner Anthony Hamilton and he will be taking the stage with some of Kenya’s greatest,” announced Somoina.
“We came up with ‘Yetu festival’ to support Kenyan artists,” said Radio Somoina.
Stanbic’s CEO Charles Mudiwa said that the bank is proud to be part of Kenya’s arts and cultural legacy.
“We are deeply committed to ensuring Kenya’s talent can be celebrated by promoting arts and music. We believe that by doing so, we are contributing to the growth of the entertainment industry and economy,” spoke out Charles.
It is now the second time the RnB phenomenon is expected to perform in the country with the first time being in 2013.
