Sergio Kitchens is an American Rapper whose stage name is Gunna. He had been initially detained for a 5 year sentence due to being involved in a criminal street activity, though earlier today having done one term, he has been released because of justifying that he viewed YSL group as a creative collective and not as a gang.
“When I became affiliated with Young stoner life (YSL) in 2016,I did not consider it a gang more like a group of people from metro Atlanta who had common interests.”
He admitted his regrets and clarified that the YSL shouldn’t be viewed as a gang.
“I recognize, accept and deeply regret that my talent and music indirectly furthered YSL Gang to the detriment of my community. YSL as a gang must end.”
Further on he mentioned that he will not snitch out information so that he may be pardoned.
“While I have agreed to always be truthful, I want to make it perfectly clear that I have not made any statements, have not been interviewed or be a witness for or against any party in the case and have absolutely no intention of being involved in the trial process in any way.”
Gunna entered an ‘Alford plea’ that means a formal admission of guilt granted towards charges in criminal court while the defendant simultaneously expresses their innocence toward those same charges.
In this case Gunna Plead guilty not accepting that he committed a crime and should maintain his innocence. He is been granted 500 hours to conduct community service.
