Singer and entrepreneur Akothee shared a heartfelt message of condolence with comedian Eric Omondi following the death of his younger brother, Fred Omondi.
Fred Omondi tragically passed away in a car accident along Kangundo Road in Nairobi. Akothee acknowledged the deep pain that comes with losing a loved one, especially for someone who has already experienced the loss of parents.
”Today, I mourn with you, my brother. @ericomondi On the surface, it may seem manageable, but deep down, the pain is overwhelming. Losing a loved one is never easy, and for someone who grew up as an orphan, it is even more profound. I truly understand the depth of what you are going through right now. Bro, keep your head high. I am with you on this lonely journey of fame. After all the day’s hustle, you have a wife and a child to go back to. A family that came from you brings immense comfort and happiness. That is the best decision you ever made. I love you, bro. My deepest condolences, and may our Brother and a colleague FRED OMONDI rest in peace,” Akothee wrote.
A memorial service was held for Fred Omondi at Chiromo Chapel before his burial in Sega, Siaya County. Many celebrities and politicians, including Raila Odinga, Babu Owino, and Jalang’o, attended the service to pay their respects and offer condolences to the Omondi family. Fred’s colleagues from the media and entertainment industry also joined in mourning their friend.
