Main Story

AFC Leopards’ U-45 branch is gearing up for a historic week in Bungoma as it prepares to host the second edition of its annual Awards Gala and Cultural Week. The event aims to honour top players, recognise passionate fans, and celebrate the club’s heritage through music, dance, food, and football.

The week will culminate in a grand awards gala, where categories like Player of the Season, Players’ Player, Emerging Star, and Legends Recognition will be highlighted. Fans and branch members will also be recognised with awards such as Fan of the Year and Branch of the Year.

Under the theme “Our Culture, Our Pride,” the event will feature traditional performances, storytelling, local cuisine displays, and a football tournament for youth teams across counties. A tree-planting drive and community engagement activities will also run alongside the main events.

The event is being organised by the U-45 branch under Olympia Musonye, with the full backing of AFC Leopards chairman Dan Shikanda and Bungoma County Government. Tickets are available through Big Brother Events, with regular access starting at KSh 300 and VIP tickets at KSh 3,000.

Building on the success of last year’s gala in Nairobi, this year’s edition in Bungoma promises a wider reach, greater fan involvement, and deeper cultural integration. It represents AFC Leopards’ continued evolution—not just as a football powerhouse, but as a cultural and community leader

As AFC Leopards bring football and culture to the heart of Bungoma, one thing is clear—Ingwe is more than a club, it’s a movement.
