The future belongs to the youths, the young men and women we call our small brothers and sisters. 

For this reason – we, that came before them have every reason to protect and guide them on how to navigate life as young adults.

Well, DKT International has made this possible through their program that aims at expanding contraceptive access to the youths in Kenya and East Africa as a whole.

Through DKT International the youths not only have increased access to contraceptives but have different choices to these various contraceptives i.e Kiss Condoms come in and the new Lydia emergency pills.

However, the goal at the end of the day is to create awareness about contraceptives: and why they are important to the youths especially with the high rate of teen pregnancies, unwanted and risky pregnancies.

For this reason DKT international launched Lydia campus clubs for medical, pharmaceutical, clinical students as a way to learn everything about contraceptives.

Having celebrated World contraceptive day on 25th September, DKT has now launched Lydia – the new girl best friend contraceptive that fits women of all ages.

LYDIA POSTPIL

Lydia Postpil is an effective 1-pill emergency contraceptive. Unlike what you are used to in the market, Lydia offers added protection from unplanned pregnancy after unprotected sex.

Lydia Postpil is single pill of 1.5 mg Levonorgestrel and is to be taken within 72 hours of unprotected sex.

LYDIA POSTPIL 2

Lydia Postpil 2 is a highly effective 2-pill emergency contraceptive that can help to prevent unplanned pregnancy after unprotected sex or method failure. 

Lydia Postpil 2 is a 2-pill dose of 0.75 mg Levonorgestrel tablets taken 12 hours apart and within 72 hours after unprotected sex. Lydia Postpil 2 is available in Kenya only.

LYDIA FINE

Lydia Fine is a safe and effective contraceptive pill that is used to prevent pregnancy. Each pack contains 21 active tablets (Levonorgestrel 0.15 mg + Ethinylestradiol 0.03 mg) and 7 inert tablets Besides pregnancy prevention, Lydia Fine can help regularize the menstrual cycle.

LYDIA DESOLON

Lydia Desolon is a 3rd generation oral contraceptive pill in a 21-day active tablet pack (Desogestrel 0.15 mg and Ethinylestradiol 0.03 mg).

Lydia Desolon is an effective contraceptive pill with added benefits that can reduce certain menstrual disorders such as heavy bleeding (menorrhagia) and painful cramps (dysmenorrhea). (Lydia Desolon is available in Kenya only)

LYDIA CONTRACEPTIVE INJECTION

Lydia Contraceptive Injection is a contraceptive injection containing the hormone progestin (150 mg Medroxyprogesterone acetate) and also known in short as DMPA-IM. 

It is injected in the muscle by a healthcare provider and provides 3 months of protection from pregnancy. (Lydia Contraceptive Injection is available in Kenya only)
